Microsoft
rolled out a newWindows 10 Redstone 3 builda few minutes ago, and
fortunately, the company didn’t leave Windows 10 Mobile behind this
time, though it’s not exactly what you are expecting
.
While
PC users in the Windows Insiders program are getting Windows 10
Redstone 3 build 16179 with two new features, including thealready-praised Power Throttling, mobile users are provided with Windows 10 build 15025 which brings absolutely no new feature.
In
other words, this is more of a build supposed to improve performance
and fix bugs, so even though the company shipped an update for mobile
insiders as well, it’s still a release that barely excites anyone.
What’s new in Windows 10 Mobile build 15025?
As
you can see for yourselves in the changelog at the end of the article,
the release notes are mostly about bug fixes, so build 15025 should
provide smoother performance as compared to its predecessor.
For
example, Alcatel IDOL 4S users are getting a fix improving new build
delivery, as there were complaints that build 15204 that shipped last
week didn’t show up on some phones. Additionally, Continuum should now
work correctly on the HP Elite X3 and on the Lumia 950, while Microsoft
Edge is getting several improvements on all supported devices.
Of
course, build 15025 also comes with some known issues, including a bug
affecting a small percentage of devices that Microsoft says could
experience text message backup loss related to backup and recovery of
the messaging database.
Also,
there’s a weird bug that displays a wrong copyright date in System >
About, with 2016 shown instead of 2017 - this is one of the issues that
made many believe that Microsoft is planning to abandon Windows 10
Mobile, so the company heard these complaints and is now fixing it.

can check the full changelog for this build in the box below and, as
usual, you can proceed to download it on your phone right now if you are
