تحديثات تراكية مونيدوز 10
Microsoft has just published two new updates for Windows 10 Creators Update, both of them listed as compatibility updates for upgrading to the latest version of the operating system.
KB4020001 and KB4020002 are both available on Microsoft's Update Catalog site, but they are very likely to be released via Windows Update too, probably as part of the next Patch Tuesday cycle on May 9.
KB4020001 is described as "Compatibility update for upgrading to and recovering Windows 10 Version 1703" and is dated April 25, while KB4020002, which has the same date, is called a "Compatibility update for upgrading to Windows 10 Version 1703."
What’s important to note is that these are not cumulative updates for Windows 10 Creators Update, but only regular patches that are supposed to improve certain components of the operating system, and since they aren’t yet offered via Windows Update, Microsoft wants to give systems admins the option of trying them out before the Windows Update release.
New cumulative updates every month
On the other hand, it’s also worth knowing that these updates only install on Windows 10 Creators Update, despite the fact that the description of KB4020002 explains it’s a patch for “upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Update.”
The next Patch Tuesday cycle takes place on May 9, and Microsoft is expected to deliver these updates via Windows Update at that point as well. Additionally, the company is also likely to include new cumulative updates too, but the focus in this case would be on security fixes and other OS improvements.
Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 Creators Update would get more cumulative updates every month in addition to the Patch Tuesday release. The secondary cumulative updates will include non-security fixes, Microsoft says, and they’re not mandatory, as all the improvements they bring will be included in the next Patch Tuesday rollout anyway.
