Goth Ice Cream Cone is All Black with a Secret Ingredient That’s Actually Good for You

eative food trends have seemed to
 dominate 2017 so far,
but hey, we’re not complaining. Not only do these
unconventional edibles look delicious,
but they make eating a memorable experience. One of the latest in unique foods is being called a goth waffle cone—a black ice cream cone
that holds colorful flavors of soft serve ice cream.
Available at the Los Angeles-based shop Little Damage, they’ve managed to make a childhood treat look positively spooky.

So, what makes the cone turn black
? It’s not food coloring; rather, Little
Damages uses activated charcoal to give
it the inky appearance. So aside from its striking looks, there
are some health benefit to this cone—activated charcoal is often used
to absorb impurities and harmful substances
 in the body. But,
any of the healthy aspects are probably offset with Little
Damage’s inventive flavors. Mango sticky rice, beet,
and unicorn tears are just a few of the
 soft serve
varieties you can get in your cone. In addition to those flavors,
they offer toppings like fruity pebbles and caramel popcorn.

With the goth cone and colorful toppings,
 you’ve got an Instagram-worthy dessert
. Check out how some people
are adorning their black ice cream cone, below. And speaking
of goth, have you ever seen a chicken that’s black to the bone?
